Police on Wednesday arrested the
former mayor of the northern Italian town of Sovere for
stalking.
Luigi Minerva was caught red-handed while in the act of
stalking one of his alleged victims, police said.
He was found in possession of a screwdriver, rope, and some
pliers, and was unable to account for why he had them, police
added.
Minerva's alleged victims include a local official, his
lawyer, and their respective wives.
Minerva has allegedly threatened and harassed the four, ever
since they successfully sued him for damages relating to
incidents that occurred in the 1990s while he was still mayor.
