(ANSA) - Milan, September 28 - Sierra Leone is turning the
page on the "devastating" tragedy of last year's Ebola epidemic,
Farm Minister Joseph Sam Sesay said during its national day at
the Expo world's fair on Monday.
Thanks to a five-year plan based on sustainable
development, the African nation is returning to its pre-epidemic
growth rates, which were among the highest in Africa.
"The struggle against hunger and malnutrition can only be
won through focussed policies and adequate technology in order
to fully develop agricultural potential," he said.
"In n Sierra Leone, agriculture makes up 52% of GDP," he
added.
