Poste Italiane CEO Matteo Del Fante
on Wednesday presented the group's new strategic five-year plan
aiming to take net profits up to 2.3 billion euros by the end of
2028.
The plan will see the State-controlled postal company, which
also has strong banking, insurance and financial services arms,
take revenues to 13.5 billion euros by the end of plan, and EBIT
up to 3.2 billion, in part thanks to a cost-rationalization
drive.
The plan also envisages the payout of cumulative dividends of at
least 6.5 billion euros over the five years.
"With this new strategic plan we are reshaping our business in
order to obtain substantial growth," Del Fante said.
"The goals will be achieved with the new commercial-service
model designed to optimize the value of our platform, and with a
logistical transformation, which evolves our model into a
state-of-the-art network, while preserving the financial
sustainability of the mail and parcel business".
