Istat said Wednesday that its
industrial-production index fell by 1.2% in January with respect
to December and by 3.4% compared to the same month in 2023.
The national statistics agency said the fall took the index back
to the level of November 2023.
It added that the index had fallen by 0.9% in the last three
months with respect to the previous quarter.
