Deputy Premier and Interior
Minister Matteo Salvini said Friday that there was no link
between the government's dignity decree designed to combat job
insecurity and a sharp drop in industrial production reported in
new official data.
"(Industrial production figures) are down all over Europe,"
League party leader Salvini said.
"I don't think the dignity decree has has an impact in
Germany, Great Britain, in Paris, or Holland.
"It's a problem for the global economy that touches the
United States too and we, unlike others, are putting more money
into the pockets of the citizens and companies to fight this
global blockage".
