Incoming Alitalia Executive
Chairman Luigi Gubitosi said Friday that the airline was ready
to keep talking to unions about its cost-cutting business plan
to try to turn around the loss-making former national carrier.
Some 2,000 ground-staff job cuts are envisaged.
"We are ready to keep talking all the way, but we must move
fast," Gubitosi told the talks, according to sources present.
