Alitalia will have a "strong and
courageous" business plan in three weeks, President Luca
Cordero di Montezemolo said Thursday. The plan being worked out
now will be "further revisited buy an industrial advisor agreed
by the two shareholders (Alitalia and Etihad Airways) because it
must not only be set up by the managers but also fully shared by
the Arab shareholders and the Italian shareholders", he said.
"Montezemolo said respecting the three-week deadline was
"imperative" and "must be done". The plan will be the basis for
"constructive" talks between the government and trade unions,"
an important triangle to face in a drastic and agreed way the
business model".
