The Milan stock exchange
reversed the losses it sustained in the opening of trading on
Monday after Sunday's victory for the No camp in the
Constitutional referendum and Matteo Renzi's announcement he was
quitting as premier. The FTSE Mib index was up 0.7% after about
one hour of business after shedding 1.8% soon in the opening
operations. Trading was volatile, however, with attention
focused on bank stocks. Popolare di Milano was down 0.3%, Banco
0.1% and UniCredit 0.4%, but Intesa was up 0.6%.
