Cementir Holding, via its Aalborg
Portland Holding subsidiary, has reached an agreement with
Ciments Français to buy the Italcementi Compagnie des Ciments
Belges cement company and other businesses in Belgium.
Ciments Français is controlled by Italy's Italcementi and
Germany's HeidelbergCement, which recently bought a 45% stake in
Italcementi.
The cash, debt-free transaction is worth 312 million
euros.
The businesses acquired generated revenue of around 180
million euros in 2015.
