Do not confuse Italy's
fundamentals with market fluctuations in the wake of the Brexit
vote, Confindustria industrialists' association chief Giorgio
Boccia said Tuesday. "Our future is that of the second
industrialized country in Europe, one with its fundamentals in
order," Boccia told reporters. "We must not confuse market
trends, which clearly generate anxiety and speculation, with the
fundamentals of the Italian and European economy". He added:
"This doesn't mean Europe shouldn't react to the Brexit, as
Italy also should, by placing at the center of the agenda what
is - from our viewpoint - the great industrial question".
