Gian Maria Gros-Pietro was elected
new president of the Intesa Sanpaolo bank at a shareholders'
meeting Wednesday. Gros-Pietro got 98.14% of the votes.
Gros-Pietro, 74, had been chairman of the management board of
Intesa Sanpaolo since 9 May 2013. Intesa Sanpaolo is Italy's
second-biggest bank, just behind Unicredit. The new board is
composed of Gros-Pietro, Paolo Andrea Colombo, Carlo Messina,
Bruno Picca, Rossella Locatelli, Giovanni Costa, Livia Pomodoro,
Giovanni Gorno Tempini, Giorgina Gallo, Franco Ceruti,
Gianfranco Carbonato, Maria Cristina Zoppo, Edoardo Gaffeo,
Maria Teresa Motta, Marco Mangiagalli, Alberto Maria Pisani,
Francesca Cornelli, Daniele Zamboni and Maria Mazzarella.
Zoppo, Gaffeo, Motta, Pisani and Mangiagalli (chairman) make up
the new management board.
