Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has donated 70 eco-friendly vehicles to the Milan Expo 2015 universal exposition, including 10 electric Fiat 500 cars, the company said Tuesday.
The donation also includes 50 500L cars and follows a similar donation of 35 low emission, alternative energy cars that Fiat gave Expo in November.
"We have supported Expo from the start seven years ago when the candidature of Milan and Italy looked like a horse only a few would have gambled on," said FCA executive Alfredo Altavilla. FCA became an Expo Global Partner two years ago and will have its own pavilion at the universal exposition.
Among other events coinciding with Expo, the company will present a new Alfa Romeo model on June 24 to mark the 105th anniversary of the brand, Altavilla said.
