Raffaele Bonanni, head of
CISL, Italy's second-biggest trade union confederation, will
step down from his post as secretary-general of the association,
on Wednesday, according to sources close to Bonanni and to
website Dagospia who anticipated the news on Tuesday.
Bonanni's tenure would have expired at the end of 2015 but
sources said he wanted to speed up his exit from CISL.
Annamaria Furlan is touted as his likely successor.
