Italian exports to non-EU countries
were down 2.1% in April while imports were up 13.9%, both in
month-on-month terms, Istat said Monday.
It was the second straight monthly drop for exports, said the
stats agency.
On an annual basis, exports dropped 5.1%, after a 6.8% rise in
March, while imports fell by 19.5%.
It was the first non-EU export drop "after two years of steady
growth", said Istat.
