There has been a fresh surge in COVID
admissions across Italy, up 19.5% in week, hospital network
FIASO said Wednesday on the basis of data from its sentinel
hospitals.
The survey dated 29 November and carried out among the sentinel
hospitals belonging to the FIASO network shows a significant
increase in the number of in-patients with Sars-Cov-2 infection.
This is the second straight week of double-digit growth: the 23
November report had already reported an increase of 24%.
In particular, in the latest report, there has been an increase
of 20% in patients in ordinary Covid wards while intensive care
units recorded a smaller increase of 9 per cent.
