A 52-year-old Italian man has been stabbed to death in Indonesia, daily newspaper Il Resto del Carlino reported on Friday.
Luca Aldrovandi, a native of Guastalla in the northern province of Luca Aldrovandi who had been working for years at a tourism complex on the island of Pulau Weh, was reportedly found dead in his apartment by an employee of a bar he runs. Police in the city of Sabang have detained another employee who is suspected of the homicide, according to the report. The suspect was reportedly held on the way to their town of origin, north of Sumatra. A blood-stained knife was said to have been found on the fridge in the apartment. Aldrovandi leaves behind his Indonesian wife and a daughter, both of whom were in Italy at the time of the murder.
