Premier Giuseppe Conte on Thursday reiterated the assertion that Italy has been left alone by its European partners to cope with flow of migrants across the Mediterranean from North Africa. "Up to now, Italy has been left alone and it has saved Europe's honour," Conte said at the presentation of the annual report of Italy's intelligence network.
"But if we continue to proceed with short-sighted interests, Europe will continue in a spiral of crises that we won't come out of.
"It is a problem that regards everyone".
