Highways company Autostrade per
l'Italia (ASPI) on Monday expressed "dismay and surprise" about
a report by a transport and infrastructure ministry commission
on the Morandi-bridge collapse in Genoa in August that appeared
in La Repubblica.
The ASPI statement spoke of "serious mistakes, groundless
accusations and prejudiced conclusions in the commission's
report".
The government has said it wants to strip ASPI of its
concession for failing to prevent the Genoa disaster in which 43
people died.
