Twenty-one Italian films are
vying to be their country's candidate for the foreign-language
Oscar, sources said Monday.
The candidate will be picked on September 25.
There are comedies like those of Andò and Milani, but also
dramatic films like 'Sulla mia pelle', the Stefano Cucchi death
drama from Cremonini.
Among the other directors in with a chance are Muccino,
Amatucci, Garrone, Franchi, Formisano, Lendaro, Termine,
Rohrwacher, Albertini, Ozpetek, Marco Tullio Giordana,
Falaschi, Carrisi, Torre, Quatriglio, Damiano and Fabio
D'Innocenzo, Genovese and Randi.
