China's Geely Automobile on
Wednesday denied reports it had offered to take over Fiat
Chrysler Automobiles, according to Automotive News. "We have no
such plans at the moment," said Gui Sheng Yue, a director of
Geely, which already controls Volvo. Geely was among several
Chinese car groups, including Great Wall, recently reported to
have had talks with FCA.
