A 35-year-old African was killed
overnight in a blaze at an abandoned factory used as a dormitory
by asylum seekers at Sesto Fiorentino, near Florence, sources
said Thursday.
A group of around 80 Africans, many Somali, have lived at the
plant for two years.
Two other asylum seekers suffered smoke intoxication, but
their condition is said not to be serious.
