A 21-year-old man who murdered
his teenage girlfriend saw his prison sentence reduced on appeal
Monday, from 18 to 14 years. A passerby found the body of
16-year-old Federica Mangiapelo on the shores of Bracciano Lake
near Rome four years ago. Formello native Marco Di Muro was
found guilty of aggravated murder in July 2015 after an autopsy
ascertained that the girl had drowned and that her boyfriend had
been the last person to see her alive.
