An Italian tourist couple died in
an August 24 earthquake after traveling to the village of
Amatrice for a festival celebrating its world-renowned
'amatriciana' sauce, the man's relatives said Friday.
Milan native Diego Galante, 40, lived in the northern town
of Agrate Brianza. His partner Sook Mancini was from Rome.
Galante's two children from a previous marriage survived.
The four were in the Lazio mountain village for a summer
festival dedicated to its famous pasta sauce based on cured pork
cheek, pecorino cheese, and tomato.
