The cartoon monsters of the popular Pokemon-Go augmented reality game have now reached museums in the northern Italian city of Turin. The game, which encourages players to look around, walk through the streets of the city, and go to interesting cultural centres, has become a new way to rediscover the treasures held in the city's museums.
In sites such as Palazzo Madama and the Museum of Oriental Art, visitors are invited to also hunt for specific works on display, and share their finds on social networks. Those who follow the ticket office's instructions will receive a free entry ticket.
The game allows players to catch cartoon monsters on their smartphones, with real-life locations as a backdrop.
