Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti said
Wednesday Italy had trained some 7,200 Kurdish and Iraqi troops
and was among the top contributors to the international
coalition fighting ISIS. "After the US we are the country with
most forces in Iraq, we have given arms to the Peshmerga, we
have trainers in Erbil and Baghdad who have trained around 7,200
Peshmerga and Iraqis, 36% of the units trained by the coalition
countries" she told a joint session of the parliamentary defence
and foreign affairs committees..
