The next stars of the Home Festival concert series are a trio of female singer-songwriters - Marianne Mirage, Sylvia, and Giorgieness - who are available to play any location in Lombardy on May 4.
Home Festival is a concert series where people open their homes to concerts and live exhibitions for free, with the locations chosen by the bands themselves through the online platform Guestar, which connects fans and artists for organising live in-home events For the concert "3 Girls in a Room", after registering for free on Guestar.com, anyone can submit an invitation proposal including photos, videos and text to convince Marianne Mirage, Sylvia e Giorgieness to make their choice. The artists will personally choose the location based on the proposals from the site.
Marianne Mirage is at once a modern and ancient voice, able to show the new sounds at their best, as evidenced in her debut album. Initially inspired by jazz, the artist, thanks to her numerous influences and her desire to experiment, has now come to a concept of urban-soul that's direct and natural. "Quelli Come Me" (Those Like Me) is the debut album released March 25 by Sugar, Caterina Caselli's recording label. Preceded by the street single "Lo So Cosa Fai" (I Know What You Do) and the single "Game Over", "Quelli Come Me" is an open window on the cosmopolitan world of Marianne Mirage. Produced by Max Elli and Jack Jaselli, recorded at Auditoria Records and mixed by Enrico La Falce, "Quelli Come Me" is an anthem to the daily battles and stories of life.
Sylvia is one of the most eagerly awaited artists of 2016 on the Italian alternative-pop scene. Inspired by classical sounds from Italian music, she's able to change it through electronic minimalism. Her unique and innovative debut manages to bring together bedroom electronic music with Italian traditions while also keeping a credible international feel. "Senza far rumore" (Without Making Noise) is Sylvia's debut album, scheduled for release May 13 on Inri/Metatron: seven tracks that tell of a rarefied, suspended, blurred world that's solid and concrete at the same time.
Giorgieness, both live and in studio, is made up of Giorgie D'Eraclea (voice and guitar), Davide Lasala (guitar and piano), Andrea De Poi (bass) and Lou Capozzi (drums). "La Giusta Distanza" (The Right Distance), their first true album, was released April 8 on Woodworm (the same label of Fast Animals and Slow Kids, Scisma, Appino, Julie's Haircut, and many others). Recorded on magnetic tape and therefore analog, "La Giusta Distanza" is a direct, immediate and partly autobiographical rock album. An album where, between the roughness of the guitars and the sweet, as-scratchy-as-it-is-powerful voice, 24-year-old Giorgie D'Eraclea expresses her moods.
Guestar was born of an idea by Spaceship Management (which manages, among others, The Bloody Beetroots, Benny Benassi, Alex Gaudino and Aucan) to offer all fans, artists and the music industry a new way to experience music. In this phase, sign-ups are open only to individuals. The roster of artists on the platform (those who have already played houses throughout Italy include Massive Attack, Dargen D'Amico, Manuel Agnelli & Rodrigo D'Erasmo of Afterhours, the rapper Giaime, DJs Merk&Kremont), selected directly by Spaceship Management, will grow to include other big artists of the Italian music scene. With Guestar for the first time in Italy anyone can organize concerts and live exhibitions in their own home, inviting the best singers and musicians currently available, for never-before-seen events.
