This year's edition of the international furniture fair at the Rho exhibition centre near Milan boasts 2,310 exhibitors, of whom 30% from overseas, organisers said Thursday.
"It will be an appointment with international appeal, where the commercial offering, represented by the most qualified companies on the Italian and foreign markets, will combine with the culture of living, also through the collateral events," President Roberto Snaidero said. The Salone del Mobile will have three side events, dedicated to the philosophy of living, classic furnishings and architectural finishings. There will also be an exhibition on design before design, with a short documentary made by Italian film director Matteo Garrone. The Salone del Mobile runs from April 12-17.
