A Palermo custody review
court on Tuesday ordered Libyan university researcher Kadga
Shabbi to pretrial custody in jail, following an appeal from the
prosecutor's office over a December arrest for instigation to
terrorist crimes.
The preliminary hearing judge in December said Shabbi
wasn't a flight risk and issued a mandatory residence order.
Shabbi is accused of having ties to fundamentalist
organisations and promoting them.
