Switzerland is to allow the
seizure of up to 1,000 Swiss francs (€914) from refugees to pay
for their stay in the country.
It comes just days after Denmark's parliament debated a
plan to allow authorities to seize asylum seekers' money
exceeding 10,000 kroner (€1,340) as well as items valued at more
than that amount. The Swiss plan would follow similar
guidelines.
Meanwhile a 16-year-old boy died in the Syrian city of
Madaya, which has been besieged by pro-government forces for
months.
