Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Monday that the European Union was perfectly capable of receiving hundreds of thousands of asylum seekers if the member States do more to share the burden. "There is a crisis, but I think that Europe, which has a population of hundreds of millions, can accept hundreds of thousands of migrants," he told Bloomberg TV. "But the condition is that the EU has a common policy and does not leave the burden to the border countries. It's incredible that up to now we did not have a European policy on migration".
