Italy told the European
Commission on Tuesday that it opposes the production of cheese
with powdered instead of fresh milk within its borders, ANSA has
learned.
Italy wishes to uphold current laws, banning the
manufacture of cheese from powdered milk.
The law is not unfair to the competition because it doesn't
limit circulation of cheeses made from powdered milk produced in
other member nations, Italy said.
