The Emilia Romagna region will present an educational exhibit designed for schools entitled Man Against Hunger at the Expo world's fair on Friday.
The region will be a guest of the KIP International School pavilion, the international school active in publicising the contents of the United Nations Millenium Platform.
The food-themed exhibition is based on the work of Italian schoolteacher, writer and TV show host Alberto Manzi (1924-1997) and will be made available to all schools in October.
Manzi's denunciation of what he called "the greatest human problem of the century" will be an opportunity to think about possible solutions through cooperation, organizers said.
The event also will be a way for local government officials in Emilia Romagna to commit themselves to earmarking public funds for development projects, they added.
