Rome finance police on Monday
arrested four people on suspicion of taking bribes in exchange
for turning a blind eye to illegal construction, sources said.
The suspects include a city cop, two city officials, and a
real estate developer as part of the so-called Vitruvio
operation that has led to 39 arrests and the seizure of assets
worth 800,000 euros since the beginning of the year.
