Rome prosecutors have placed 10
suspected Islamic jihadists under investigation on charges of
subversive association with terrorist intent, sources said
Tuesday.
The suspects are all foreign residents of the Muslim faith,
and were identified through online surveillance, investigators
said.
This included surveillance of online conversations between
the suspects as well as the fact they allegedly accessed
extremist and fundamentalist websites.
The 10 suspects reportedly do not make up a cell but are
being considered "lone wolves", sources said.
