(ANSA) Brussels, October 10 - European Union institutions
are considering deploying troops in Africa to help deal with the
Ebola epidemic, European Commission sources said Friday.
European soldiers would be used to coordinate evacuation of
European patients from Africa and to help re-establish security
in the worst-hit Ebola countries, according to the proposal
outlined in a "non-official" EU diplomatic service note to
member country ambassadors.
