The Milan stock exchange closed
Thursday on a negative note, with its benchmark FTSE Mib index
ending the day at 19,480, down 0.29% on Wednesday.
The spread between the 10-year Italian State bond and its
German equivalent, an important measure of Italy's borrowing
costs and of investor confidence, was steady at around 165 basis
points.
Thursday was the last day of trading this week on the
Italian stock market, as Friday is a national holiday.
