30 arrested in anti-Trump protests
Other protests in Chicago, Seattle, 13 arrested in Los Angeles
(ANSA) - New York, November 10 - At least 30 people were
arrested in Manhattan on Wednesday night during protests against
the victory of Republican candidate Donald Trump over Democrat
Hillary Clinton in presidential elections on Tuesday.
Thousands of people took to the streets to voice their
opposition to the New York property tycoon, shouting 'Not my
President', 'Hey Hey Ho Ho Donald Trump has to go' and other
slogans.
The crowds marched on Trump Tower, the president-elect's
New York residence on Fifth Avenue, amid extremely tight
security.
Protests were also reported in other parts of the country
including in Los Angeles, where 13 people were arrested,
Chicago, Seattle, Portland, Oakland, San Francisco, Boston,
Philadelphia, Detroit and Austin.
