Pope receives Pakistani former minister

(ANSA) - Vatican City, August 27 - Pope Francis received former Pakistani minister Paul Bhatti, a Christian, and his mother, during Wednesday's general audience. "Persecuted Christians feel the Pope's support," Bhatti told Vatican Radio.
    Bhatti, a doctor, was working in Italy three years ago when his brother Shahbaz, who was serving at the time as Pakistan's first-ever minister for minority affairs, was killed by Islamist extremists for his defense of Christian Pakistanis.
