'Political-cultural initiative' to isolate extremists

(ANSA) - Rome, October 27 - Military success against ISIS at Sirte in Libya, Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria is necessary but not enough, Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Thursday, stressing the need for "a political-cultural initiative" to isolate extremists, also at home.
    NATO, he said, must "grasp the complexity and novelty of the challenges in the Mediterranean, not looking at it with the usual view, otherwise we won't get very far".
    Gentiloni said "we don't have foreign armies threatening our borders, but a build-up of challenges" on our borders.
