Military success against ISIS at
Sirte in Libya, Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria is necessary
but not enough, Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni said Thursday,
stressing the need for "a political-cultural initiative" to
isolate extremists, also at home.
NATO, he said, must "grasp the complexity and novelty of the
challenges in the Mediterranean, not looking at it with the
usual view, otherwise we won't get very far".
Gentiloni said "we don't have foreign armies threatening our
borders, but a build-up of challenges" on our borders.
