Regulator says more info on prices, costs needed

(ANSA) - Rome, May 25 - Italy's antitrust authority on Wednesday said greater transparency was needed in the market for vaccines after a fact-finding survey revealed "various critical" situations in terms of competition. It said there were "major information shortcomings on costs" and a "need for unambiguous, transparent medical decisions, also in order to correctly direct demand".
    The regulator also pointed out that the global vaccines market was worth "over 20 billion" and was "dominated by an oligopoly of four multinational companies".
