Pope will start Jubilee with Africa trip, says Vatican

(ANSA) - Vatican City, November 16 - Pope Francis wants to start the special Jubilee on Mercy during his pastoral visit to Africa this month, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi said Monday.
    "Pope Francis wants to speak of mercy and the love of God also to African peoples and to those most sorely tried," Lombardi said, "that's why the idea of starting the Jubilee in Africa as well as in Rome was born. It is an anticipation for a continent that extremely needs it.
