Someone with mortgage 'shdn't have to pay anything'

(ANSA) - Rome, September 7 - Premier Matteo Renzi said Monday that "December 16 will be the last time taxes will be paid on primary residences. The primary residence will once again be exempt from taxes, someone who has worked 30 years and has a mortgage, it's only fair he shouldn't have to pay anything". As for the shortfall in funds that will be produced for local authorities, Renzi said "we will give a corresponding cheque to the mayors".
