The director of the
Vatican's financial authority, Tommaso Di Ruzza, said Friday he
hopes to soon have a pact with the Bank of Italy. "We have a
good degree of dialogue and mutual trust and hope, before long,
to formalize cooperation and exchanges of information", with the
Bank of Italy, he said in releasing the 2014 annual report.
Relations had been strained in the past when the Vatican Bank
had previously failed to comply with international standards on
money-laundering and financial crimes.
