Dmo Dolomiti gears up for promotional campaign this fall

Fairs and workshops from Spain to UK in September-November

BELLUNO ANSAcom

The province of Belluno this fall will be promoting tourism in the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Consortium Dmo Dolomiti and all its structures are ready to present to specialized operators and tourism fairs all the new products and vacation opportunities offered by this splendid province. On the domestic front, Dmo Dolomiti is continuing to participate in a program to share the Veneto region's strategic tourism plan, together with partners like the Chamber of Commerce, as part of a project to give visibility in the media to the province of Belluno. The plan also includes a strategy to forge agreements with important international tourism institutions and follow the plan drafted by Eurac Research, as part of financing provided by the Fondi Comuni Confinanti (bordering municipalities fund), which embraces 48 municipalities bordering with the provinces of Trento and Bolzano, thanks to which this project has taken off. During the first week of September, Dmo will start a promotional campaign in Italy and abroad called "Dolomiti, the Mountains of Venice". The campaign kicks off on September 5 in Spain during the Vuelta, the third-most important cycling race worldwide. Dmo together with Enit Spain - the race's sponsor - will present to reporters covering the event what Belluno has to offer in connection with the Giro d'Italia cycling race, which has been widely promoted in Spain. "Le salite della Leggenda del Giro d'Italia" - the climbs of the legend of the Giro d'Italia - including two dedicated to Spaniards, and the "Grandi Ciclabili della Provincia di Belluno" - the great cycle lanes of the province of Belluno - will be presented across the entire circuit of Vuelta. In addition, during the evening of September 5, the presentation of "Los Pasos Legendarios del Giro d'Italia" will be held in Bilbao. This tourism package for cycling enthusiasts is very popular in Spain as two climbs are dedicated to Miguel Indurain and Alberto Contador. Then the Consorzio Dmo will present the two products, in partnership with the Emilia Romagna region, during the UCI Road World Championships in the UK on September 21-29. On September 26-28 the consortium will also be at the World Tourism Event in Rome, the tourism expo of UNESCO sites, with a space dedicated to the Piave, the river uniting four World Heritage Sites: Venice, Veneto villas, the hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene and the Dolomites. Together with the Consorzi Bim of Piave, a tour of the area will be promoted to explore a location connecting the Dolomites to Venice along a path of culture and beauty. Dmo Dolomiti on September 30 will hold a workshop in Paris organized by the Veneto region to present what the province has to offer to French, Belgian and Dutch operators. It will also take part on October 5-6 in the Dolomiti Show - Expo Dolomiti at Longarone Fiere and in the educational Buy Dolomiti event, in coordination with the Veneto Region and hoteliers' federation Federalberghi Belluno and retailers' association Confcommercio, to be held in the areas of Cadore and Agordino. October 7 will be the day dedicated to Buy Veneto in Venice, organized by the region, while the consortium on October 9-11 will attend the TTG Travel experience fair in Rimini. Dmo on October 7-14 will be with employers' association Confindustria Belluno Dolimiti in Matera, where it will present the province's attractions ahead of the 2026 Olympics. Dmo Dolomiti on November 4-6 will participate in the International travel trade show WTM LONDON with the Veneto region to finalize agreements in particular with British tourism partners. A number of agreements have already been drafted over the past few months, including with the British Alpine Club. DMO Dolomiti will then be in Rome on November 10-13 for a workshop organized by the Veneto region to present what the province has to offer to over 100 tour operators from around the world. On November 19-21 the Consortium will be at the IBTM in Barcelona, the Mediterranean fair for the meetings and events industry, to present local meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions together with the region and Longarone Fiere. Finally, skiing packages in the province of Belluno will be promoted in Milan and on November 26-28 international workshops will be held in London - for the British and Benelux markets - and in Helsinki - for Scandinavia, Russian, Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian tourists.
