Verona ANSAcom

The 15th edition of the ArtVerona art fair, taking place through Sunday, October 13, is contained within two pavilions in the city's trade show area as well as throughout the city, in shops and neighbourhoods. The Veronetta neighbourhood will host projects that use contemporary art as a way to discover one of the most interesting places in the historic centre, such as "La Quarta Notte di Quiete - SCARTI", curated by Christian Caliandro. The Giusti Garden will host "To Be Played: Video, Moving Image and Video Installation in the 80s Generation", a show curated by Jessica Bianchera e Marta Ferretti.  Other events throughout the city include three initiatives at the Achille Forti Modern Art Gallery - Palazzo della Ragione: the show "Mauro Fiorese: Treasure Rooms (2014-2016)", "Frammenti", an installation by Thomas Scalco, and "Beyond First Step 10".
At the Verona Art Academy an installation titled "Für Paul Celan" by the artist Anselm Kiefer will be on display through December 20. The Santa Maria campus of the University of Verona will be open for guided tours of "Contemporanee, contemporanei", an  exhibition of works from AGI Verona that collector Giorgio Fasol has lent to the university for five years of interaction with students.
The Cariverona Foundation will present two shows: "Carlo Zinelli: Continuous Vision" and "Tribute to Mirko Basaldella", curated by Luca Massimo Barbero, through January 12, 2020. The ArtVerona platform of prizes and recognition has been expanded this year, with two new developments: the MZ Construction Prize, which came from the initiative of two businessmen and collectors from Campania; and the Casarini Prize, from the DueTorriHotels Group, for painters under age 35. All the other prizes will also be awarded this year: Level 0, which is backed by the directors of some of the main Italian museums and supported by AGSM; the Icon Prize; the WiDiBa Prize in collaboration with Widiba Bank; the LCA Legal Firm Prize for photographers under age 35, sponsored by the LCA Legal Firm; Display, Sustainable Art Prize sponsored by the University of Venice Ca' Foscari; the second edition of the fund Veronafiere "A Disposizione"; and the recognition 10 Independent Spaces, now in its 10th year, sponsored by AMIA.
