The body of a 29-year-old Swedish man
was found on the banks of the River Tiber at Lungotevere Sanzio,
in the centre of Rome, early on Wednesday, apparently after he
fell from the river's embankment overnight, sources said.
The body featured a head wound consistent with a fall of around
15 metres from the top of the embankment.
Footage from video-surveillance cameras examined by
investigators show the man staggering alone in the streets of
the area, possibly indicating that he was drunk, before he
leaned over the top of the embankment, the sources said.
