Veteran Italian journalist, writer,
author and television and radio host Vincenzo Mollica will
receive the 'David Speciale' during the 69th edition of the
David di Donatello Awards, the Italian Oscars, at the awards
ceremony on Friday 3 May, organisers said Friday.
"Vincenzo Mollica has been recounting the Italian entertainment
world with passion and sobriety, enthusiasm and competence,"
said Piera Detassis, president and artistic director of the
Italian cinemas academy.
"His unique style, empathy and his art of the interview have
been for decades an example for those who have taken up a
journalistic career.
"He is a real inspiration for me, for everyone a maestro who is
able to combine pop, auteur films, great actors and directors."
Mollica, 71, told ANSA "this special David comes as a nice
present...It is a moment of joy, the same feeling that in 40
years of career I have recounted the cinema, the artists, the
technicians".
