Eni dropped 2% on the Milan bourse Thursday after the Treasury on Wednesday night sold a 2.8% stake in the energy giant to institutional investors.
    The fuels group slumped over 3% in early trading to then recoup about a point, to 2.25%.
    Trading was over five times the monthly average for the stock.
