goodbye to relatives before boarding buses for their trip to
France, in Lviv, Ukraine, 12 August 2022. About 70 children of
Ukrainian defenders and internally displaced people (IDPs)
departed to France for summer rest at the expense of the host
while the Russian military invasion is ongoing. Russian troops
on 24 February entered Ukrainian territory, starting a conflict
that has provoked destruction and a humanitarian crisis.
